How long do I have to air out my down comforter before the odor dissipates?
I just purchased a down comforter and it stinks! I plan on returning it if the odor persists, but wonder how long it takes for the smell to go away?

Did you try taking it to a laundrymat and washing it in the big washer with liquid fabric softener? If that doesn’t work return it. It shouldn’t be smelling if it’s new anyway.
Take it back right away! There is no telling what caused the smell and it isn’t your fault and you shouldn’t have to fix a problem you didn’t cause! Get a new one. If this one stinks, too, go to another store! Good luck!
I would return it also, down comforters that have had the feathers triple washed should not smell.
Well, it shouldn’t smell when you get it so I would take it back to the store that you purchased it from and get a new one.
