I’d appreciate аnу advise… I really lονеd thіѕ cover аnd searched a long time fοr іt.

Try washing it in oxygen bleach, plus detergent.

Use twice amount of oxygen bleach recommended on the box and use the warm water setting.

You might need to wash the cover more than once.

You were smart not to dry the duvet cover. Drying sets stains. So, don’t dry the cover until you’re sure the stain is gone.

    This should work.

I am a huge fan of OxyClean. Mix a scoop of oxyclean with a cup of hot water and pour some of the mixture on the stain. Let it sit for 10 minutes. If the stain is really bad and dark, pour more on and let sit for another 10 minutes. Run through the washing machine the way you’d normally wash it. If the stain is still there, treat it again with the oxyclean mixture. I did this on a stain my dad had washed twice with chlorine bleach and the oxyclean took it right out.

Both answers so far are correct EXCEPT that oxygen bleaches like OxiClean need TIME to work. I would suggest letting them soak as long as possible (up to 12 hours) until the stain comes out. The water stains could have been from run off soil or from the sizing in the duvet cover.

There is no danger in doing this, just remember to swish the thing around every 2 hours or so and do not do it in a metal bucket (other than the washer).

white vinegar is a good choice

Try diluting some liquid laundry detergent to the extent that it can be put through a hand pump spray bottle. Spray the mixture on as a pre-treatment and let it sit for a while, but do not let it dry on. Then wash it as usual. Is the brown from blowing dust? If so, then maybe sponging the detergent in will give a bit more rubbing in order to get the stains out.

You can also make a paste with white vinegar and borax powder, apply to the stain and leave to dry then pop in the wash with a cup of white vinegar which will also assist in getting creases out and stopping static cling.
